Run Run Reindeer, sponsored by TDS, 435 Injured and other community partners, promises an action-packed morning of holiday fun. With Christmas music and selfie stations along the course, participants can celebrate and run at the same time.

“It’s a super fun way to celebrate the holidays before things get a little crazy later on in the day,” race director Dan Aamodt said. “This year, it’s a little more special because it happens to fall on Christmas Eve.”

The 11th annual Run Run Reindeer will be held on Saturday, Dec. 24. The route begins at 9 a.m. at Ivins City Park on Main Street and loops back around to the same location. The race isn’t timed, but the top three male and female finishers will receive prizes from the St. George Running Center and Runway Fashion Exchange.

Registration costs $39 per individual entry and $29 per additional family member (up to six people). You can save $5 by entering the promo code “STGEORGENEWS” when you register online.

Participants are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to benefit Toys for Tots. Each year, donations collected by Run Run Reindeer bring Christmas cheer to hundreds of local kids in need. A portion of every registration fee will also be donated to Toys for Tots.

Runners can pick up their registration packets at the St. George Running Center, located at 2736 E. Red Cliffs Drive #5 in St. George, on Friday, Dec. 23, from 4-7 p.m. Packet pickup will also be available near the starting line from 8-8:45 a.m. on race day.

Participants must register by noon on Wednesday, Dec. 21, to be guaranteed a T-shirt. All participants will earn a 4-inch finisher medal, and the first 500 runners to register will receive foam reindeer antlers as well. All entries are non-transferable and non-refundable, and the race will be held rain or shine.

“Don’t wait to sign up,” Aamodt said. “We’re expecting 600 to 700 participants this year.”

Stick around afterward for prizes, giveaways, hot chocolate, donuts, muffins, breakfast sandwiches from Chick-fil-A and much more. Race organizers will select four runners with the most festive outfits to receive a $25 gift card to the St. George Running Center. Again this year, the runner with the ugliest holiday sweater will win a $50 gift card.
