ST. GEORGE — The state route leading into and out of Apple Valley was temporarily blocked around noon Friday after a travel trailer tipped over.
The incident occurred at mile marker 14 on state Route 59, also known as State Street, in the area in front of Gooseberry Mesa, southeast of Hurricane. Utah Highway Patrol trooper Joe Pastore said a travel trailer heading east experienced some kind of mechanical trouble and overturned.
“Trailer whip,” Pastore said in a text. “It was a no-injury crash.”
Pastore said delays to traffic were minor, though both sides of the two-lane street were blocked for 15-20 minutes for responders to clear the overturned trailer.
