ST. GEORGE — Two vehicles were involved in a crash Tuesday morning at the intersection of Pioneer Road and Old Dixie Highway 91, and the collision resulted in minor injuries.
A 70-year-old female driver of a white SUV allegedly turned left off Pioneer Road onto Old Dixie Highway 91 and collided with a white Ford Fusion, Sgt. Reed Briggs of the Santa Clara/Ivins Police Department told St. George News. The incident occurred just before 9 a.m.
“Apparently, there are some minor injuries right now. Airbags were deployed,” Briggs said. “A citation will be issued for failing to yield on a left turn, and both vehicles would be towed from the scene.”
The driver of the Ford Fusion was an 18-year-old male who was heading westbound on Old Dixie Highway 91.
Briggs said both drivers had minor injuries.
