Chadley Dennis Gibson

March 31, 1982-April 12, 2022

Chadley Dennis Gibson completed his earthly adventure on April 12, 2022.

Chad was born in St. George, Utah, on March 31, 1982, to Dennis and Billie Gibson. He was the middle of five children. He grew up in Washington, Utah. He attended Pine View High School and Millcreek High School, where he earned his GED with the class of 2000.

Chad was an adventure seeker. Growing up, Chad enjoyed spending time on the lake with his family and friends. Those memorable moments shaped his adventurous spirit. He is described by his family as fearless compared to the rest of them. His favorite activities such as wakeboarding, snowboarding and hiking, quickly turned into more extreme adventures like rock climbing, repelling, hang gliding, rodeo, mountain biking, kayaking and dirt biking. He also enjoyed four-wheeling on his banshee, hunting with his dad and had a love for baseball and football. Chad loved everything extreme. Nothing was off limits to him. Chad enjoyed scouting and achieved his Eagle Scout ranking.

During summer 2017, Chad and Liz met and later began dating after a ski date in January 2018. The adventures went from there. Together they converted a Mercedes Benz ambulance into a camper van. Chad built everything in the van by hand, creating a home away from home.

The best day of Chad’s life was the day he became a father on Dec. 10, 2019. Chad and Liz named their son Jack River because they met in Jackson on the river. Jack was Chad’s whole world. Chad was the most kind, patient and loving father.

Chad bought a home in April 2020. He then began working extremely hard to remodel it to make a beautiful home for Jack. Chad was a talented woodworker and hand-built many items in his home. Any project he set his mind to became one of his greatest works of art.

Chad’s contagious smile will be missed by so many, as well as his kind connection with those who loved being around him.

Chad is survived by his son Jack; parents Dennis and Billie Gibson; siblings Rebel, Kaysha (Alex), Malea (Casey), Quinn (Brittney); nieces and nephews, Kyleigha (Dion), Tayvin (Tristen), Kysen (Maddie), Cambria, Parx, Kash, Briley, Rykin, Quade, Wiley, Arlo, Maja, and Brighton; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held at Spilsbury Mortuary, 6-7 p.m. on April 21. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 22, at Leeds Chapel, 75 N Main Street, Leeds, 1-2:30 p.m. with a visitation prior to services noon-1 p.m. Chadley will be laid to rest in Washington City Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S Bluff St., St. George, 435-673-2454. Family and friends are invited to sign Chadley’s online guest book.
