ST. GEORGE — Lee Phillips “was located safe in Washington City. He is being reunited with his family shortly,” according to the St. George Police Department Facebook Page.

Earlier Monday, authorities had been asking for the public’s help in locating the missing and endangered man and his dog Ozzie.

“THANK YOU to all who shared this post, we couldn’t do it without your help!” the Facebook post went on to say.

The St. George Police Department has listed Lee Phillips as a missing elderly male who was last seen in the area of 300 S. 1200 E. in St. George at approximately noon Monday. He had taken his black and white Aussie dog Ozzie for a walk. The Facebook post did not specify whether Ozzie was with Phillips when he was located.

Phillips is 77 years old and has Alzheimer’s disease, according to the department.
