Moto Zoo has been Southern Utah’s destination for all things powersports for 15 years and counting. Customers will find new and pre-owned ATVs, UTVs and personal watercraft from Can-Am, Polaris, Sea-Doo and Roxor in their showroom, along with a large inventory of parts and accessories.

“Southern Utah’s our backyard, so we’re definitely enthusiasts,” general manager Ken Peterson said. “We also have the weather and the climate here for nearly year-round entertainment, between watercraft in the summer and ATVs and UTVs all year long.”

The dealership also offers a comprehensive service department to assist with customization, repairs and ongoing maintenance. The Moto Zoo team values the opportunity to create long-term relationships with off-roading enthusiasts in the community, Peterson said, and they do that by providing the best customer service available.

The sales team works closely with several banks and credit unions in the St. George area, as well as with the manufacturers themselves, to help finance purchases. They also accept trade-ins on used machines. At the apparel end of the store, customers will find all the gear they need – boots, pads, clothes, helmets, goggles and more – to safely outfit them and their machines for riding.

Moto Zoo is a local, family-owned business. Aaron Smith, the company’s president, started working in powersports at age 17 and founded Moto Zoo to create a new standard in the industry.

The seventh annual Trail Hero is a week-long event with five days of guided trail rides, a golf tournament, parties, concerts and more, all with a family-oriented atmosphere. Whether you come out for the day or stay for everything, it’s the most fun you can have on four wheels.

With five days of action, as many as 43 trails per day and 138 trails total throughout the week, there’s truly something for everyone. Terrain ranges from mild to wild, inviting owners of both stock 4×4 vehicles and hardcore rock crawlers to experience thrilling new adventures.

The organizers of Trail Hero aim to spotlight community support for military veterans along with improving access to public lands for children and adults with disabilities. Off-roading vehicles serve as their legs, an extension of their bodies, giving them the ability to enjoy the beauty of Southern Utah through motorized access.

Stop by the Moto Zoo booth at base camp Wednesday through Saturday for swag and a chance to test drive or take a ride in the latest machines from Can-Am and Polaris. Moto Zoo will be offering ATV and UTV demos all week long as well as sponsoring the VIP special needs access trail ride on Tuesday morning.

This is the third year they’ve been involved with Trail Hero, which Peterson said is the perfect event to show off Southern Utah’s extraordinary wildlands to off-roading enthusiasts from all across the country.

“Utah’s very friendly to the off-road world, and we have some of the greatest recreation areas here that I’ve ever experienced,” he added.

New for this year is the Trail Hero Music Fest, featuring three days of energetic concerts by country and rock artists. Tickets start at $60 for a single-day pass, and veterans enter for free.

“Between rock crawling, the music festival, raffles, the scavenger hunt, lots of swag and giveaways, VIP rides, a movie on the rocks and bonfires, it’s got a little something for everyone,” Peterson said.
