ST. GEORGE — A 14-year-old California girl is one of two teens missing from a youth treatment center near Hurricane after a group of teens ran away from the facility over the weekend.
A family member of Corie Lessard, who hails from San Diego, contacted St. George News Monday about her cousin who had not been seen since Saturday and is believed to be in the company of a 16-year-old male.
The two were a part of a group of teens who ran away from the Three Points Center located off state Route 59 southeast of Hurricane. The group left the facility sometime Saturday with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office becoming involved soon after.
Sheriff’s Deputy Graham Hancock said the majority of the teens had since been found and returned to the Three Points Center with the exception of two as of Monday afternoon.
According to information from Lessard’s family, she was last seen walking toward Washington City on Saturday with no shoes. She was also accompanied by the 16-year-old male.
Lessard is around 5-foot-4, 120 pounds and also goes by the nickname “Coco.”
The boy she was walking with is described as being 6 feet tall with black hair.
Anyone who may have seen Corie Lessard is asked to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 435-656-5730.
