CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — Red Rock Real Estate and Eagle Gate Title, with the support of many community partners, have capped a successful fundraising campaign for Make-A-Wish Utah that will bring joy and hope to local kids facing the toughest fight of their lives.

Red Rock Real Estate was founded on ethics, hard work and family support, values that align perfectly with their role as a long-term partner of Make-A-Wish Utah. In 2023, Red Rock raised $66,000 for Make-A-Wish Utah, granting 11 wishes, and that was just the beginning.

Earlier this year, Red Rock Real Estate CEO Adam Legg and Macrae Heppler with Eagle Gate Title joined forces to launch a Real Estate for Wishes campaign.

“We have an incredible real estate industry in Southern Utah,” Legg said. “We wanted to create a way to give back to Make-A-Wish Utah with our partners throughout the community.”

Their goal was to raise $100,000 during April to coincide with Make-A-Wish Utah’s annual Drive for Wishes campaign. Brokerages, agents, title companies, lenders, builders, property management companies and more were invited to participate. All donations would stay in Southern Utah to grant wishes for kids like Spencer, a 7-year-old boy with a life-threatening respiratory condition, who was the face of this year’s campaign.

Throughout April, Red Rock Real Estate and Eagle Gate Title united the local real estate industry in bringing hope to kids who need it most. Businesses and individuals throughout Southern Utah lent their support to the cause, helping make miracles happen.

“As word got out that this was going on, people reached out and wanted to get involved,” Heppler said. “We were amazed by the response we had.”

Real Estate for Wishes raised $111,000 in total, exceeding the initial fundraising goal. Along with Red Rock Real Estate and Eagle Gate Title, the campaign was supported by JP Excavating, Nets on Fire, RL Wyman Design + Create, Whitaker Construction, GeoTad Services, the Southern Utah Home Builders Association and Dennis Miller Homes.

“We are so grateful for the companies and individuals who made donations to sponsor wishes,” Legg said. “We also want to thank the Red Rock Real Estate agents who donated. Every donation made a difference!”

Make-A-Wish Utah and their local partners hosted a closing celebration for Southern Utah Drive for Wishes on May 7 at The RinQ in St. George. During the event, Spencer and his family learned that his wish to take a cruise to Puerto Rico is going to be granted.

Make-A-Wish Utah’s presence in Southern Utah has grown exponentially in recent years with the support of area business leaders. Cameron Chatwin, Make-A-Wish Utah’s Corporate Development Manager, said that 23 kids in Southern Utah are currently waiting for their wishes to be granted as they battle life-threatening illnesses. The money raised by Real Estate for Wishes will not only make Spencer’s dream come true but also help grant wishes for another 15 kids in the community.

Real Estate for Wishes highlights a community passionate about helping local kids and families through the magic of a wish.

“We plan to do Real Estate for Wishes every year,” Red Rock Companies Executive Assistant Katherine Chipman said. “We’re excited by the response we got this year, and we look forward to being able to grant even more wishes in the future.”

Although Real Estate for Wishes will take place once a year, businesses and individuals throughout the community can get involved anytime. There’s always a need, Heppler said, and an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of wish kids and their families.
