Traffic alert: Police shut down I-15 in Cedar City

ST. GEORGE — Motorists traveling on Interstate 15 near Cedar City are likely to encounter disruptions Monday afternoon, according to a traffic alert posted by the Utah Department of Transportation.

Both lanes of travel at milepost 58 on I-15 in Cedar City were closed at approximately 12:25 p.m., the alert states. The anticipated re-opening of the highway is 1:30 p.m.

Heavy traffic was reported in the area, and motorists on I-15 should take special precautions as they travel to their destinations.
