Utah Tech football is 1-4 after completing its non-conference schedule with four of those games played on the road.

The Trailblazers return to Greater Zion Stadium Saturday for a 7 p.m. kickoff against Stephen F. Austin.

The Lumberjacks are 3-2 and lost their first game in United Athletic Conference play. Saturday’s matchup will be Utah Tech’s first-ever game in the UAC, which was established during the off-season as a football-only conference for teams formerly in the Western Athletic and Atlantic Sun conferences.

According to Utah Tech Athletics Media Relations, Saturday night’s game will be the third time the Trailblazers and Lumberjacks have met on the gridiron. Both teams won on the other’s home field in the previous two meetings.

Utah Tech is 3-11 all-time in conference openers including an 0-2 mark during its time as a member of the Football Championship Series (FCS). All three of those previous opening wins came at home.

Last week, the Trailblazers lost 41-20 to Colorado State and fell to 0-3 lifetime against Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams.

Listen to the live broadcast of Saturday night’s game called by the Voice of the Trailblazers Rod Zundel on The Fan Sports Network.
