Iron County Sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Humphries told Cedar City News that at approximately 2:48 p.m., deputies were called to the scene on a report of an injured woman just above the ladder section of the trail.

Deputies from Iron County Sheriff’s Office, along with members of the county’s Search and Rescue and Ropes teams, responded to the scene, along with Gold Cross Ambulance personnel.

Photos provided by the Sheriff’s Office show rescuers carrying the patient in a Stokes basket along the creek bed.

“The patient was escorted out of the falls and transported to Cedar City Hospital to be treated for her injuries,” Humphries added.

Shortly thereafter, the scene was cleared without further incident, he said.
