Bruce Dwain Hepworth

Sept. 27, 1943-Sept. 9, 2023

Bruce Dwain Hepworth, 79, of Hurricane, Utah, died quietly on Sept. 9, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife and children after a valiant battle with dementia. Thus returning to the waiting arms of his angel mother, whom he so dearly loved and adored.

Bruce was born on the beautiful fall day of Sept. 27, 1943, to Colleen Hardy and Dwain Hepworth in LaVerkin, Utah, where he grew up. After graduating from Hurricane High School, he served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the East Central States Mission. Upon completion of his mission, Bruce went on to obtain his Master Electrician Degree and also served in the Utah National Guard.

He met the love of his life Janice McArthur, and they were married on June 9, 1967.  Their union was blessed with 12 children: Desiree (Juan), Abe (Rachel), York (Michelle), Ronya (Kurt), Page(deceased), Gina (Ethan), Michon (Robbie), Jed, Kim (Brad), Tami (Jay), Angie (Travis), Luke (Heather), 32 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Bruce will be remembered for the tremendous love and dedication he had for his wife and family, his passion for the gospel, especially the book of Mormon, his kindness and generosity, always helping those in need, his honesty, hard work, humor and his good name. He was an amazing provider and fierce protector of those he loved throughout his life.  His ingenuity and resourcefulness were truly impressive. Bruce willingly spent his time serving his family, his church and his community.  His love of music and dance lives on in his children as do many other character traits that he exemplified.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Boyd and his son, Page. He is survived by his wife Janice; his brother Terry (Shauna); his sisters Gladys (Pat), Jan (Mike) and Deon (John) and sister-in-law Esther.
