Salaevalu Afualo, 78 years old, died on Aug. 11, 2023, in Taylorsville, Utah. She was born March 29, 1945, in Pago Pago, American Samoa, to Sinapao Roberts and Vaosa Magalei. She was married to Laile Luteru Afualo in Los Angeles, California, at the Los Angeles Temple
She is survived by her five children — Laile Luteru Afualo Jr., Daniel Pouli Afualo and his spouse U’ilani Asayo Afualo, Liat Lee Jones and her spouse Uliey R. Jones III, Tait Barnes Afualo and his spouse Noelle Afualo and Aaron Ahsue Afualo. She has 16 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m. at the Bloomington 9th Ward Chapel, located at 3519 Manzanita Road, St. George, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. for family and friends. A family service will be held from 8-9:30 a.m.
Interment will be at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 S. Dixie Drive, St. George, UT
