State Bank celebrates addition of new commercial loan officer

ST. GEORGE — State Bank of Southern Utah announces the addition of Evan Thomas as commercial loan officer, Vice President, to the  loan team.

Thomas brings with him 10 years lending experience in Southern Utah, a community he and his family have grown to love. Thomas specializes in SBA loans and commercial real estate development for businesses in Southern Utah. One of his loans allowed a growing Southern Utah business to build a substantial addition to their facility and provide working capital to position them for significant growth in the future.

On making the move to join State Bank, Thomas noted he had always been aware of the bank’s common sense approach to banking and their position as a financial support pillar of the community.

“I realized that all of the rumors I had heard about the flexible, practical, and people-centered culture of the bank were true, and I needed to be a part of it,” Thomas said. “The decision was an easy one.”

Thomas is also a dedicated contributor to the community. He is a former member of the Hurricane Rotary Club, and is now State Bank’s representative in the Exchange Club. He has also served in many capacities helping the young people in the community.

“We’re very excited to have such a value driven and determined individual join our commercial loan team,” Steve Isom, State Bank’s senior vice president of commercial real estate lending, said.
