St. George Rotary Club hosts ‘Light Up Rotary’ night golf tournament

ST. GEORGE — This year, members and friends of St. George Rotary Club, one of five Rotary clubs in Washington County and about 34,000 in the world, will celebrate Worldwide Rotary Day on Saturday, Oct. 23 at the SunRiver Golf Club.

The local service club will host the 2nd Annual “Light Up Rotary” night golf tournament to raise funds for literacy projects in the Washington County School District.

A $60 fee per player will include nine holes of golf before dinner and another nine holes after dinner, a cart, a glow light to wear on your hat, the chance to enter a drawing for prizes and a glow-in-the-dark golf ball. A second lighted golf ball is recommended and available at an additional cost of $5 each.

Registration will begin at 4:45 p.m. with a shotgun start at 5:15 p.m. Participating golfers are encouraged to bring a flashlight, a jacket and to wear light colored clothing.
