ST. GEORGE — The St. George Chapter of the BYU Management Society invites the public to join us as we begin our new luncheon series for 2017-18. Our goal is to raise scholarship funds for area High School seniors who plan to attend college upon graduation. Our first luncheon will be with Dave McCann, co-anchor of KSL News at 6 and 10 pm. Dave also calls play-by-play for BYU football and basketball games and hosts a variety of programs televised worldwide on BYUtv. He will be speaking about current political news stories and BYU sports.
The public is invited to attend. You do not need to be a graduate of BYU to enjoy the messages provided by the speakers. You can register for the luncheon online or pay at the door. However, please RSVP.

Beck is the former Relief Society General President for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has been a member of the Dixie State University Board of Trustees since 2012. Over the last nine years, the St. George Chapter of the BYU Management Society has given out over $70,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors and BYU Marriott School of Management students.
About our guest speaker:
Dave McCann co-anchors KSL News at 6 and 10 pm. He also calls play-by-play for BYU football and basketball games and hosts a variety of programs televised worldwide on BYUtv.
Dave spent nearly 20 years working at KLAS-TV in Las Vegas where he anchored sports for 14 years and most recently worked as morning co-anchor. In addition, he served as play-by-play voice for UNLV football for 14 seasons and wrote regularly for the Las Vegas Review Journal.
During his senior year at BYU, McCann was hired as a reporter for ABC’s Good Morning America and covered college-related topics from around the country.
Dave is the third oldest of ten children born to Andrea and the late Dale R. McCann. He grew up in Orem, graduated from Orem High School and served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to San Antonio, Texas.
Dave’s away-from-work interests include “anything and everything” with family. He has five children, two of which attend Utah State University in Logan.
