Robert ‘Bob’ Allen Stratton

June 20, 2024

Robert “Bob” Allen Stratton passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024, at the age of 70 surrounded by his family.  He is survived by his wife Cindy Stratton, daughter Lauren Marie Stratton, grandson Luke Vaca and brothers Craig (Amy), Kevin (Michelle), Michael (Carolina), James (Shelly), and David (Shanell).

Bob was born in Santa Maria, California, to Robert Allen Stratton and Evelyne May Silva Stratton.  Bob’s dad was in the oilfield business, and they lived in Santa Maria, Bakersfield and Lakewood, California.

More than anything, Bob loved to hunt and fish. He taught his brothers the art of hunting and the finesse of fishing. He knew any and every nuance of the sport and he was always willing to share that with others.

He loved baseball and was an excellent first baseman on his Lakewood High School team. He went on to play AAA baseball for the Nighthawks in Long Beach after graduating high school. Bob worked in the oil field business like his dad and learned the production and logging service part of the industry. He decided to start his own acoustic/painting company and loved working for himself, growing his business.

When he met the love of his life Cindy, he decided to close his business and join her property management company, CB Property Management (funny note-CB was Cindy’s initials and went on to be Cindy and Bob).  Together they built a great business and loved working together. When they decided to move to St. George, Utah, they bought Dixie Frozen Yogurt in the local mall. They once again worked together to build a great company, one the community loved.

It was during this time his daughter Lauren Marie Stratton was born. She was daddy’s little girl, even as an adult. He loved her so much. He had a new love that would please him beyond his wildest dreams. She would hunt, fish and go anywhere with him endlessly. Lauren gave Bob a grandson, Luke. Luke was the apple of his eye, and he would do anything for him. He loved just watching Luke when they were together. Luke made him laugh. Bob’s family meant everything to him, and he made sure they received everything they could ever need or want for. He then opened Christensen Arm’s custom rifles St. George manufacturing branch. He had the opportunity to buy Statewide Pawn, Gun & Loan – so he did. He and Cindy, again, grew the business over the next 12 years. He loved the business and all the customers. He also did bail bonds. It was during this time that he met Tim, and they started training boxers. He so loved the sport and loved the people he trained.

If you knew Bob, you knew his willingness to help anyone who needed it.  He made an impact on so many people in his life through his generosity.

His love story is one of deep love, compassion, caring, giving, striving for better together, and accomplishments.  He always talked about his intense love for Cindy.  He knew he had found his forever in her, as did she him.

Bob’s Celebration of Life will be on Aug. 3, 2024, from 3-9 p.m. at the Red Lion Hotel and Conference Center, 850 S. Bluff St., St. George, Utah.

Kindly RSVP to Lauren (435) 619-2921 or Cindy (435) 619-2897.

In lieu of flowers, be generous to someone in need. Buy a hungry family food. Pay a utility bill for someone struggling. Take time out of your busy life to be there for someone who needs you. Help them get to a better place. Do what Bob did.
