CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — You might expect a car dealership’s top priority to be vehicles, but that’s not the case at Ken Garff St. George Ford. To them, customers come first.

Whether you’re ready to buy a new or certified pre-owned car, or you need repairs on a vehicle you already own, you’ll find honest and knowledgeable staff ready to help at St. George Ford. By listening to customers and putting their needs first, quality vehicle selection, fair prices, reliable service and a welcoming environment are all a given.

“We hear you, and we’re here for you,” general manager Brett Kassing said. “It’s what we stand for as a dealership, how we take care of our customers and how we treat people.”

A fixture in the community for over 35 years, St. George Ford is committed to helping make Southern Utah a better place to live. This dedication is exemplified by their multi-year sponsorship of the 99.9 KONY Country Fourth of July Celebration, the area’s biggest summer bash.

“It’s about coming together as a community and celebrating our freedoms, the things we enjoy each and every day,” Kassing said.

St. George Ford gives back all year long through a variety of community initiatives. From installing wheelchair-accessible planter boxes at the Southern Utah Veterans Home to renovating an observation room at the Washington County Children’s Justice Center, the dealership’s employees donate their time and talents to help make a difference.

They recently wrapped up Drive Out Hunger, a food drive that collected thousands of meals for low-income students in the Washington County School District. During the summer, these students and their families are at risk of going hungry without access to free or reduced-price school meals.

St. George Ford also supports the Utah Food Bank and the Youth Futures shelter for at-risk teens. Every holiday season, they deliver bags and boxes of Christmas cheer to single parents in the area who are struggling financially.

“Being involved in the community is something that’s important to the dealership and the whole Ken Garff organization, and I think that speaks highly of the people who work here,” Kassing said. “What we really want to do is give back to those who help and support us.”

That’s because the Ken Garff Automotive Group is committed to treating people right. In fact, RIGHT is the acronym used by the company to encompass all of their values: Respect, Integrity, Growth, Humility and Teamwork. Together, these values create the foundation upon which they build every customer and employee interaction.

It’s a legacy that began generations ago when Draper native Ken Garff left his job as a gas station attendant to start his own car dealership. Garff, who firmly believed that people were more important than any car he sold, understood that the success of his business was based on supporting and building positive relationships not only with customers but also with the community as a whole.

Since 1932, the Ken Garff Automotive Group has expanded to 73 dealerships across seven states with over 5,000 employees. It’s still a family business, with Garff’s grandson, John Garff, now leading the company as CEO. Treating people right for over 90 years has brought them this far, and the future looks bright.

Ken Garff St. George Ford is a proud sponsor of this year’s 99.9 KONY Country Fourth of July Celebration with headliners Craig Morgan, Ashley McBryde and DJ Eric Rhodes. From epic live performances to a showstopping fireworks display, join St. George Ford and the rest of the community at Greater Zion Stadium on Independence Day to honor America.
