Stout Roofing is a local, family-owned and operated business. Brendan Casey, one of the company’s owners, graduated from Dixie State University (now Utah Tech University) in 2013 and has remained a supporter of many of the school’s programs and events. That includes Stout Roofing’s sponsorship of the upcoming 99.9 KONY Country Fourth of July Celebration at Greater Zion Stadium.
“We have over 150 employees now, and those employees are part of our company family,” Nelson said. “We want to create and support a vibrant community that will support our employees and their own families.”
Stout Roofing opened in 1998 and merged with the Cedar City-based Roof Tec in 2005 to create a company that could meet the needs of a broader customer base. Stout Roofing specialized in concrete tile applications, torch-applied bitumen and all types of re-roofing, while Roof Tec focused on metal roofing, asphalt shingles and single-ply membrane systems on flat roofs.
As a result, the company is led by a management team with extensive diversity and depth of experience. Employees in each division of Stout Roofing, from repairs to re-roofing and commercial to residential, focus on their areas of expertise rather than trying to be a jack of all trades.
Stout Roofing is a full-service team of roofing professionals with locations in St. George, Cedar City, Las Vegas, Mesa and Tucson. The company offers most roofing systems and specializes in concrete tile applications, metal roofing, asphalt shingles, single-ply membrane systems and all types of re-roofing.
Their skilled installers perform a wide range of residential and commercial roofing applications, including custom work. A customer with a project that includes concrete tile, copper bay windows, a steel parapet cap and single-ply membrane, for example, will work directly with them from start to finish.
Additionally, Stout Roofing has the equipment needed to handle any job. The company owns all of its forklifts, trucks, dump trucks, trailers and lift trucks. They also operate a full-service metal shop complete with a hydraulic shear and computerized brake capable of creating whatever custom sheet metal details a project might require.
Stout Roofing also recently launched a solar division to offer homeowners across the Southwest renewable energy solutions. The company’s partnership with Tesla Solar combines roofing expertise and cutting-edge solar technology to help customers increase both the energy efficiency and the overall value of their homes.
Among numerous industry affiliations, Stout Roofing has been recognized by the community with a bevy of awards in the Best of Southern Utah and Best of Iron County contests since 2019. This year, they won gold for solar company and silver for roofing company.
