Casper brings over 25 years of legal experience to McMullin Injury Law. Mostly handling personal injury matters, he has successfully resolved hundreds of cases through trial, arbitration, mediation and negotiation.

“Jared is a consummate professional in all that he does, and he’ll be great asset here at our firm,” said Nate Langston, head of McMullin Injury Law’s litigation department. “He also has very valuable perspective on handling car accident victim claims because he worked on the other side representing the insurance companies. He knows the inside thinking of how they try to win personal injury cases.”

Casper graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in finance and earned his Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Licensed in Utah, Idaho and Oregon (and with licensing pending in Arkansas), he has taken cases to trial in multiple states, where the respective juries returned verdicts in favor of his clients. In total, he has conducted more than 30 jury and bench trials and over 100 arbitrations.

Casper said he’s excited to join McMullin Injury Law because it’s a firm that truly cares. Despite the common perception that personal injury attorneys are all about the money, they’re dedicated to fighting for justice as well as the compensation that every client deserves.

“They’ve developed a really good process and strategy for zealously representing clients and getting the best outcomes for them,” he added. “Their energy is captivating; it’s contagious.”

Prior to becoming a personal injury lawyer, Casper gained a vast amount of courtroom experience while representing insurance companies, including working as an in-house litigation attorney for Farmers Insurance. He successfully defended clients in cases involving many areas of personal injury, including automobile accidents, slips and falls, product liability, drunk driving, mold exposure and carbon monoxide poisoning.

A member of the Utah Association for Justice, Casper grades bar examinations twice a year. He also previously served as president of the Utah Defense Lawyers Association and sat on the executive committee of the Utah State Bar’s litigation section.

“I have a really strong sense of justice, and I like to see that the right thing gets done,” he said. “With personal injury law in particular, I have cases where people are put in situations where their lives are turned upside down. I try to help them in exercising their rights and getting them the representation they need.”

When Casper isn’t helping clients receive fair compensation for their injuries, he enjoys coaching basketball, attending sporting events, reading and dining at new places. However, there’s nothing he loves more than spending time with his wife, Juli, and their 7 children and 12 grandchildren.

Established in 2012, McMullin Injury Law has grown to become one of the largest law firms in Southern Utah. The firm includes eight attorneys plus a support staff of 16. Their main office is located in downtown St. George, and they operate a satellite office in Cedar City.

McMullin Injury Law exclusively represents personal injury cases, including accidents involving cars, motorcycles, bicycles, trucking, dog bites, slip and fall injuries, workers’ compensation and wrongful death. The firm was created with an emphasis on clients, focusing on the human aspect of their injuries.

“We have one of the more robust litigation departments, which gives us the ability to fight hard against insurance companies with the confidence to bring lawsuits when needed,” Langston said. “Nobody really wants to file a lawsuit after being in a car crash, but it’s nice to know that your attorneys are well-versed in litigation and capable of advocating for you.”

The attorneys at McMullin Injury Law look beyond medical bills to determine the value of a case, working with each client to understand exactly what they’re going through and how their injury has affected their life. They work on a contingency basis, which means services don’t cost clients payments out of pocket – ever. The firm has handled thousands of cases in Utah, Nevada and Arizona, recovering over $100 million total for their clients.
