ST. GEORGE — An adult female in St. George reported being dragged from her home in the early hours Friday.

Just before 2 a.m. Friday, St. George Police were dispatched to an apartment complex near West Sunset Boulevard on a possible attempted kidnapping, said Capt. Mike Giles of the St. George Police Department.

“A female home alone reported being dragged from the home by an unknown male,” Giles said.

She was able to escape after they left the apartment, Giles said. She returned to her apartment and called police.

Police got a vague description of the subject wearing a “dark hoodie and jeans.”

“We did contact our investigative on-call detectives,” Giles said, “and we had a detective and supervisor respond and begin the investigation.”

No other information is available at this time.

This report is based on preliminary information provided by law enforcement and may not contain the full scope of findings.

Just a thought, not to be biased or anything but the Homeless Shelter is on that side of town now and I’d check out surveillance cameras in the last few days to see if this guy has been seen trying to get into the shelter.

“dark hoodie and jeans” <– the official uniform of the All-American low-life. Be it junkies, gangsters, petty thieves, or pimps, you can always count on the "dark hoodie"…

Isn’t all of Sunset Blvd located in West SG anyways. There is no East Sunset Blvd.

SGPD, could you be anymore vague with a press release?

    “dark hoodie and jeans.”

Sounds like a drug deal gone bad or a disgruntled ex bf

    Ofc, there’s a chance it’s legit, but…

Maybe read the article before commenting. Here I will copy the important part and capitalize the important word to make it easier for you.

No, he’s right. The information given is vague, at best. Either she is hiding something, or the police are not releasing more details for other reasons.

was there forced entry? was there a violent assault or sexual assault besides “being dragged from the home by an unknown male”? Do the police feel this man is a threat to anyone else? Which apartment complex was this and should other residents be worried? And did the alleged perp not say a word as to give an idea of his age? And really, it was so dark as to not even get a glance at the face? Dragged how? Dragged by the hair? By the arm? By a foot?

It might be totally legit, but the way this info release reads it sound like the story of someone who was drunk or on drugs or just looking for attention. It basically doesn’t sound credible. Such a limited release of info with no details is basically useless.

I agree with you and well said. I live on this side of town and I’m concerned. Also given the time did she go to the bar and walk home? So many questions
