Late-night rollover on I-15 requires Life Flight response

WASHINGTON COUNTY — A driver was flown to the hospital following a rollover on Interstate 15 in Washington County in the early morning hours Saturday.

Emergency personnel responded to the single-vehicle rollover on northbound I-15 between mile markers 38 and 39 just before 2:30 a.m.

The driver was reportedly ejected during the rollover.

Reponders from Harmony Valley Fire District arrived on scene and found the man awake and responsive.

A medical helicopter crew from Intermountain Life Flight arrived and transported the patient to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Jared Cornia said.

Cornia did not have any information about the driver’s current medical condition.

The cause of the rollover is under investigation.

Northbound I-15 was temporarily closed in the area of the crash to allow for the medical helicopter’s landing.

Responders from Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Gold Cross Ambulance and Iron County Sheriff’s office also responded.
