ST. GEORGE — No one was injured following a two-vehicle collision at a busy intersection in St. George Saturday afternoon.
St. George Police responded to the crash involving a black Ford Flex SUV and a black Ford pickup truck at the intersection of 700 South and River Road at approximately 1:15 p.m.
At the time of the crash, the driver of the SUV was eastbound on 700 South preparing to turn left to go north on River Road as the driver of the Ford was westbound on 700 South, St. George Police Lt. Thad Feltner said.
“Both drivers said it was clear for them,” Feltner said. “The Flex is saying they were in the intersection when the light went red and they turned, and the driver of the Ford truck said it was yellow for them going west.”
As the drivers proceeded, a T-bone collision occurred.
No injuries were reported. All involved were wearing seatbelts, Feltner said, adding that all declined medical treatment from responding personnel from Gold Cross Ambulance.
Police obtained witness statements from both drivers and independent witnesses at the scene, but no solid conclusion could be made determining who was at fault.
“There’s conflicting information from both drivers and third-party witnesses,” Feltner said. “So, no citation will be issued because of that.”
Westbound traffic was temporarily blocked on 700 South in the area of the crash, and there was some subsequent slowdown as officers directed motorists around the scene.
Emergency personnel from St. George Fire Department also arrived to assist with the incident.
“They were really quick to clean up the scene,” Feltner said of the responding firemen.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and had to be towed away.

humm. So someone is at fault here. But all the witnesses were too dull witted to put together a coherent story between them. I’d be a bit upset if I was the party not at fault and having to pay my own damages. This place needs red light cams badly. If I had to basically to make a guess based on pure speculation. I’d guess the fault lies with the pickup truck. The light bar and the windshield decal is something a young idiot puts on a vehicle. Basically a circus clown will turns neutral looking vehicle into an idiot vehicle. It’s not as classless/clownish as those giant wing type spoilers that circus clowns put on honda civics and subarus, but it’s creeping right into that territory.
But I realize that isn’t all that fair, because that ugly ford wagon thing could’ve been driven by a young idiot as well. This why “you can’t always judge a book by its cover”. hahahah 😉

sometimes i type these in super fast and don’t go back to check it. It wasn’t really attacking grammar so much as pure curiosity of what he’s trying to do with “(sic)”.
I was mainly stating that the odds are that this ‘wannabe baja truck’ would be driven by the type of idiot/clown who would drive agressivley enough to be the one at fault, and also likely have the personality type to deny it if he was at fault. This is an educated guess from decades of driving experience. People’s personalities often do match their vehicles. And the reaction of NotSoFast was hilarious. He obviously has some connection to this. Too funny 😉

There have not been “medical episodes” this week. Maybe this is the new trend to no tickets. Just deny fault and all witnesses say something different. I think it can work ?
