REVIEW — Bruce Bennett and Adam Mast cover two of the biggest movies of the holiday season in this jam-packed episode of Film Fanatics.
“Godzilla” director Gareth Edwards helms the very first “Star Wars” spinoff movie in the form of “Rogue One,” an epic sci-fi war movie that finds a skeleton crew of resistance fighters taking on the empire in an effort to steal the plans for the original Death Star. Does “Rogue One” do the saga proud or should you skip it?
With “La La Land,” “Whiplash” director Damien Chazelle tells the musical tale of two Los Angeles dreamers (played by Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling) who aspire to make it big in the city of angels. Is “La La Land” a toe tapping musical for the ages or is it tone deaf?
Bruce and Adam close out the show with a look at Southern Utah’s community-based filmmaking event,
“A Merry Movie Christmas.”
