ST. GEORGE— Following on the heels of the very successful “The Wedding Singer,” St. George Musical Theater continues its matrimonial theme with “Nuptials,” the nonmusical “comedy of wedding day proportions.”

This funny and insightful play tells the story of Caroline and Mark, an engaged couple four days out from their big day. Their plans start to spin out of control as a result of everyone involved in the wedding preparations wanting things their way.

Director Bruce Bennett said he personally loves this show.

“Just about everyone can relate to the stress and mounting tension as the wedding day approaches,” Bennett said. “All involved have good intentions, but “Nuptials” often hilariously illustrates how the bride doesn’t always get the wedding of her dreams. (However), as those involved in Caroline’s wedding tell her, ‘it’s not just your wedding!'”

Artistic director Kaye Bair noted the terrific cast, which includes veteran community theater actors and a few fresh new faces.

“We could not have asked for a better ensemble,” Bair said.

St. George Musical Theater invites the public to come enjoy this sweet comedy for the whole family.
