Ivan Henry KrellCEDAR CITY – Police arrested a lodge employee in Brian Head Monday after he allegedly stole electronic devices from a guest room.

Ivan Henry Krell, 25, was arrested on a second-degree felony for burglary and a class A misdemeanor for theft after two guests staying at the Cedar Breaks Lodge reported two iPads missing from their room.

The Brian Head Marshal’s Office responded to the lodge that morning on a complaint by the alleged victims who told police they had used the iPads the previous night.

According to charging documents, police used the lodge’s key system to verify a key to the room had allegedly been issued to Pedro Soto, another employee working with Krell. However, Soto reportedly denied to authorities taking the electronics.

The Cedar City Police that assisted on the case later found Krell, a resident of Cedar City, and interviewed him. Charging documents state the suspect allegedly admitted to taking the iPads but told authorities Soto was also involved.

Brian Head Marshal’s Office said it would follow up with Soto later, documents stated. No charges had been filed against Soto as of Monday.

Krell was booked into the Iron County Correctional Facility on $15,000 bail.

Not only a thief, but a snitch as well. I’ll bet his parents, (if he has any,) are proud of him.
