IVINS — Do you feel a spooky rhythm taking over your feet? Odyssey Dance Theatre is looking for dancers to participate in the smash hit “Thriller,” which will be performed at the Tuacahn Amphitheatre in October. Auditions for “Thriller” will take place Aug. 29.
Odyssey Dance’s annual spooktacular brings some of Halloween’s most famous characters to life — in a manner of speaking. Marrying the macabre with the technical aspects of dance, “Thriller” has delivered a beautifully chilling spectacle for audiences year after year.
Auditions will take place Saturday, Aug. 29, in the Tuacahn Amphitheatre dance studio. Auditions for children ages 9-13 will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Child dancers should be no taller than 5 feet.
Auditions for dancers ages 14 and older will take place from 3-5 p.m.
Dancers should have strong dance technique, be able to execute a double pirouette, and be available for all rehearsals and performances.
Dance roles are unpaid volunteer positions, according to an audition notice from Odyssey Dance Theatre.
“Thriller” will be performed Oct. 24–31 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased online here.
