Dorothy Whitney Voracek, age 80, was reunited with the love of her life, Joseph, on Monday, October 27, 2014, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dorothy (or Dottie) was born April 11, 1934, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Henry Grant and Olive Gertrude Whitney. Dorothy was a wonderful mother and stalwart in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Her intelligence, talents and caring blessed the lives of those around her.
Surviving family include her four children: Trudy (Ronald) Osborne of Ogden, Utah, Teresa (Kelly) Billings of Perry, Utah, Cynthia (David) Day of Bonney Lake, WA, and David (Sonya) Voracek of Dallas, Texas; two sisters: Darlene Olson of Watertown, S.D. and Edyth Wall of Norfolk, VA; as well as 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her eternal companion, Joseph R. Voracek and nine siblings.
Funeral Services
- Graveside services will be held Friday, Oct. 31, at 3 p.m. in Tonaquint Cemetery, St. George, Utah.
- A visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. prior to services at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah.
