BEAVER COUNTY – Due to whiteout snow conditions, a long line of heavy, slow-moving traffic has been reported on Interstate 15 between the exits of Parowan and Beaver. At approximately 8:45 p.m. there was still a long line of vehicles barely creeping along in the northbound lanes with a reported two semi-trailers and at least one car that had spun off the road.
Along this span of I-15 it was also still snowing heavily at 8:45 p.m.
The northbound lanes were moving the slowest, but the southbound lanes were reported to be moving slowly as well. Approximately 10 miles south of Beaver, near mile post 100, traffic is starting to move faster but only approximately 30 mph into Beaver, Lori Hanna, who was stuck in traffic driving north told St. George news.
“It’s just crazy for the end of March,” Hanna said, “I haven’t seen this many snow plows since I was in Michigan.”
It took roughly an hour-and-half for Lori to travel the 25 miles between Parowan and Beaver. “Everybody was kind of jogging just six inches at a time,” Hanna said.
A winter weather warning, was issued this morning for the counties of Iron and Washington, with snow expected heavy in the afternoon and evening, but dissipating later on.

no matter who says it no matter on how they word it people will not slow down. I drove thru there last night and how bad it was yet quite a few of them wouldn’t slow down. I wish the state of Utah Would put a electronic speed limit signs to lower down the speed limit for bad weather
