ST. GEORGE — Washington County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue located four adults who became stranded in the Smith Mesa Test Site area Wednesday afternoon.
A group of four adults in two off-road vehicle’s were riding in an off designated trail head area just east of the Smith Mesa Test Site when they had difficulty getting out, Washington County Sheriff Sgt. Dave Crouse said.
The St. George Communications Center first received a call from a family member at about 5:56 p.m. Dispatchers instructed the family member to have one of the stranded persons call 911 so that they could ping their cell phone and get a GPS coordinate as to where they were located, Crouse said.
As of 8:45 p.m., Wednesday, rescue crews had reached the victims and determined that there are no medical problems and they are all in good health. SAR is in the process of bringing them down off the mountain now, Crouse said.
The rescue operation is ongoing.

Are they really victims, if they went off the designated trail? Hillbillies will be hillbillies.
A true hillbilly would have been able to rescue themselves. These are just your run of the mill Utahbillies.
IF they are local, they probably moved here recently from out of state
