Meeting to be held by Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah for homeowner applicants

WASHINGTON COUNTY – Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah is seeking a low-income family for its next home.  Families are chosen on their need for decent housing, their ability to make payments on an affordable no-profit, no-interest mortgage, and their willingness to be active partners with Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah. Interested applicants must attend the meeting scheduled for 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 to apply.

Through the use of volunteer labor and donations of money and material from the community Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah is able to provide low-income families in Washington County an affordable place to live and raise a family.  The selected family will be required to invest “sweat equity” hours into the rehabilitation of this home and make regular mortgage payments.  The program offers deserving families a hand-up and an opportunity to improve their lives.  Our primary goal is to provide affordable housing for a low-income family that is functional, safe, and easy to maintain.

The mandatory application meeting will be held at 1070 W 1600 South, Building B (Five County Association of Governments building), in St George.  You will only be able to apply for the 2012 Home for the Holidays, by attending this meeting.
