Law responders resolve shots-fired domestic situation without incident

WASHINGTON CITY  – On April 27, at approximately 9:45 P.M., Washington City Police Officers responded to a residence on East Mangum Road in Washington City to a report of a domestic situation involving some residents of the home.

During the course of the investigation, witnesses stated that the male fired a handgun while he was alone in the back yard.   A 34 year-old-male who lived at the residence was taken into custody without incident and was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center for medical evaluation.

At this time, no criminal charges have been filed against the individual.  The investigation is continuing.

Washington City Police were assisted on this incident by officers from the Utah Highway Patrol, Washington County Sheriffs Office and the Bureau of Land Management.
