ST. GEORGE – The Dixie Flyers led from start to finish to beat the Delta Rabbits 52-43 this afternoon. The game was held at the Burns Arena on the campus of Dixie State College. The win puts the Flyers in an all-Region 9 semifinal game against Desert Hills.
Deshon Brown scored a game high 19 points for the Flyers.
The Flyers went 15-17 from the free throw line while the Rabbits were below 50 percent, going 12-25 from the line.
Walker Swenson added eight points while Devin Bennett and Kyler Smith chipped in six points each.
The Flyers will take on rival Desert Hills in the first semifinal game tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at the Burns Arena.
The Flyers went 0-2 against Desert Hills in the season; they had a Dec. 14, 2011, home-loss by three, and a Jan. 25, 2012, 7-point loss at Desert Hills.
