LA VERKIN – A woman was transported by ambulance to Dixie Regional Medical Center this evening with unknown injuries after being hit by an SUV.
La Verkin Officer Darren Richmond said the woman was conscious when she was transported. There were no passengers in her Geo 4-door passenger vehicle.
Richmond said a Toyota 4Runner was travelling on S.R.-9 when he went left of the center lane and hit the Geo on the driver’s side.
Hurricane Fire Department, Utah Highway Patrol and Washington County Sheriff’s Department were called in to assist with the accident and traffic control.
