Latest media technology showcased at Vegas expo

LAS VEGAS – Hundreds of bloggers, freelance writers and anyone interested in “new media” converged on Sin City last week to get into the 3-day BlogWorld Media Expo, and see the latest and greatest in new media technology.

The expo included dozens of vendor booths that attracted to many of today’s bloggers, as well as keynote speakers from successful new media companies. These speakers are accomplished CEOs who know how to take technology and turn it into a moneymaker and forgo the traditional ways of media.

Of all the information at the expo, there were five that truly stood out.

ManoftheHouse.com
Man of the House is an online magazine for men that covers a wide variety of topics for today’s new generation father. It’s like a Como for dad’s who want advice on relationships, looking good, feeling good and raising children.

Infolinks.com
While attending the expo, one vendor introduced a way to add a “pay wall” to bloggers’ sites. That may work if you have exclusive and great content readers can’t find anywhere else, or are willing to forgo the free sites to pay to read your stuff.

Good luck with that.

Info Links offers a way to add advertising to your blog or site without large display ads. When someone is reading your content, a line appears under key words. If the reader wants to click on the ad, you get paid. You won’t become rich, but it’s a nice way to make a little money without losing your readers over a pay wall.
