Officers arrest male on spice charges

ST. GEORGE – St. George officers arrested an adult male early this morning for ingesting spice.
 
Capt. James Van Fleet said officers were called to a noise complaint on Aztec drive just after 1 a.m. this morning. Officers spoke with three adult males in the home and discovered one had several outstanding warrants.
 
While speaking to the men, officers observed a pipe that was used for spice, Van Fleet said. Spice was also found in the home. Van Fleet said the man with the outstanding warrants allegedly admitted to ingesting the spice.
 
Officers arrested the man on the outstanding warrants, as well as charged him with being under the influence of a psycho toxic chemical and possession of paraphernalia. His required bond for those charges was set at $820.
 
Van Fleet said he was unsure what the outstanding warrants were for. His required bond for the outstanding warrants was set at $1,760.
