H.A.R.T. hosts third ‘Jammin’ for the Animals’ fundraiser

H.A.R.T. (The Homeless Animal Rescue Team) will host the third “Jammin’ for the Animals” fundraising event, Saturday, October 2 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Jazzy’s Rock n’ Roll Grill on Bluff Street in St. George. This event will feature local rockers Closure and Bottled Monkey from Cedar City. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance by calling Lorraine at 435-705-9835, or at the door.

One hundred percent of ticket sales will benefit H.A.R.T. and contribute toward their mission of reducing the number of unwanted animals killed at local shelters. The first two Jammin’ for the Animals events sold out, so organizers recommend purchasing tickets in advance. There will be drawings, giveaways, Concert T-shirts and most importantly it’s all for a great cause.

Several local businesses are sponsoring the event including Worry Free Pools, Bone Appétit Gourmet Pet Pantry, All Fur Love Grooming and Dr. Bondad at Smiles of St. George. Jazzy’s serves delicious food, coffee and specialty drinks.

Since its inception in July 2009, H.A.R.T. has saved over 400 animals locally, spayed and neutered almost 200 and placed over 200 more in rescues across the country. H.A.R.T. believes it is crucial to raise awareness in the community and spread the message to “adopt and don’t breed or buy while shelter animals die!” Help support man’s best friend! For more information about this event or H.A.R.T., contact Lorraine 435-705-9835 or Adam 435-313-2696 or visit www.hartofutah.blogspot.com

of unwanted animals that are killed at local shelters.

We will accomplish this through working directly with the public, offering the help needed to keep their pets; supporting spay/neuter programs; providing educational information to local school systems; and working closely with other animal rescue groups to benefit all animals.
